birthday month is upon us

life always gets crazy in October as birthdays start rolling by, one after the other. Kaitlyn's comes first in our house and she had a really fun painting party. Our sweet babysitter led the girls in painting a beautiful dolphin scene and kaitlyn's cup was filled with friends, paint, and chocolate cake. She is such an amazing little girl. So creative, kind, fun, and thoughtful. She is always making and thinking of the next sweet or fun thing to do. She asks great questions about life, God, friendship, and all the things that really matter. She loves hard and well.  And she is so brave! Whether it's jumping on roller -coasters, playing soccer, or trying other new things, she is always the first to try it. She leads others to try through her courage. She is always up for a race or putting herself out there in front of people. It's not that this comes easy for her, it doesn't, but she can always talk herself into it. Her courage inspires me. I was thankful that my parents got to be here for the celebration and of course Gran and Pappy stopped by to see her too. Everything she could dream of!

it's also soccer season...a first for us. Kaitlyn really wanted to play this year so we signed her up, then once practice started there was an 8-9 year old team that needed another player, practicing at the same time as us, so Andrew got to jump in. They are both really enjoying it, and since I'm Kaitlyn's coach, Aimee gets to practice with the team too. She's actually the fiercest of the 3, challenging players 3 times as big as her, and winning the ball. We'll just have to see where that takes her!

Andrew's up next with laser tag next weekend!
