Hi all!
Thanks for prayers for our travel - we are back in the US as of a few hours ago. The schedule was tight getting thru customs in DC and onto the flight, but just before boarding we unexpectedly ran into Jim and Kelly Ford. It was great to see friends at such a random place (gate C24 in the DC airport).

did emily sing to you every hour, on the hour? did they bring birthday cake at every meal? did they show the bio of your life on the tv instead of movies?
i guess you're 28.5. hmmm...that kinda messes up all the rest of your birthdays for the duration of your vida. oh well, half-candles will suffice okay i reckon.

b-day was good, only 30 hrs. of it though. no singing on flight and thank gooooodness, no video. but a good dinner last night.
He must have forgotten that I actually did sing to him on the flight...twice! And the airplane served us a great chocolate brownie for dessert. (I'm sure it must have been for his birthday:-).
i can imagine how birthday candles might be a...fire...hazard.
whatev, though--they're just being over cautious ;o)
