the zoo

we love our zoo! It's 5 minutes from our house and filled with so many fun things for the kids to do. Recently they opened up a new lego room there and we went and tried it out last week. They loved it!

I'm doing a little homeschool co-op with Andrew this year for Pre-K and am so thankful to have other friends nearby doing the same type thing so that we still have friends to play with during the week.

 even this little monkey enjoyed it for a little while. My friends little boy was there too (16 months) and Aimee has developed quite an infatuation with other kids. She loves getting up in their faces and has even plopped a kiss on a boy or two :-)

She was much happier when we got back outside though and I let her get in the creek beside the picnic tables

all kids were soaked by the end of the time (and only Aimee had appropriate swimwear :-) Thankfully I had a bag of 12 month sized clothes in the car and since Kaitlyn can still wear that size she got to ride home dry :-)

on another note, we had a day at home today since Aimee threw up in my lap this morning :-( Though we did have to miss storytime at the library, it was fun to be home and the highlight was during lunch outside on the picnic blanket when Andrew said "This is the best time of my life!!" (slight exaggeration I'm sure, but still sweet)
