Just kidding (the picture is from Thailand, but we're going to need to feel warm soon)! We're actually having a great time and enjoying our classes immensely. Emily has been taking a class called Introduction to Isalm that has given her a much deeper empathy for the difficulties of Muslim culture for women. She's also been taking a counseling class, which has been good for both of us. My (Spencer's) favorite class has been one called Educational Ministry in Cultural Perspective. It's really challenged my worldview and forced me to come to grips with much of the Evangelical church's shortcomings over the last couple centuries. Ouch.
I'll list a few prayer requests. Let us know how we can be praying for you. I do dishes each night for about 20 minutes and that is some great time for intercession!
For us, please pray ...
1) That what we are studying won't simply stay in our minds but make it deep into our hearts for transformation.
2) That we will be refreshed with Christ's love and grace each day.
3) That our marriage and love for each other will grow each day.
4) That we will be more other-centered, acting more as servants in this world.
