fun with the Houstons

Andrew loves going over to Kimberly and Nathan's house because they have real basketballs. He knows exactly where they keep them and always runs straight there as soon as he gets inside. He wouldn't even put the ball down to play the piano. Today at my violin lesson he noticed a round humidifier on the other side of the room (where he is not allowed to go because that's where Amy keeps her harps) and he was absolutely convinced that it was a ball. I wouldn't let him go over there and for the rest of the lesson he thought I was keeping a ball from him...not a happy camper :-) At church last Sunday he ran straight to the nursery as soon as we got inside saying "ball, ball." We couldn't even coax him out of there for the music! So we let him stay in the nursery the whole service (we usually just take him in for the sermon).

On another note, he is talking up a storm! I don't know where he learns all of his words, but every day he comes up with more of them. It's so fun and so cute! He has labeled all of his favorite books and he'll go get me the "night night" book or the "tractor" book or the "boom boom" book--(the drummer boy book :-). Books might come 2nd behind his love for balls...or there at least tied with his love for the guitar!!

the bottom picture is exceptionally special (the one in which he is palming both basketballs at the same time) :)
