Parallel Life of Money in spiritual terms

It's interesting to see De Soto's point in the Mystery of Capital that the economic revolution came as a result of property rights that allowed assets to lead a parallel life in the financial/trade world. Thus the farm was useful for the food that it produced but also (perhaps more importantly) for the equity in it.

A Spiritual parallel might not be out of the question in terms of resources. Currently, Christians around the world (particularly in the West) hold trillions of dollars in companies that have little or no spiritual impact. If the Business as Mission approach can eventually produce numerous companies that are profitable and CEOs and other corporate executives could communicate their vision to investors, the link seems like it could be dynamite. And that is exciting :)
